Mental Health Conversations in General Practice: Responding with Confidence and Compassion

About this course

Mental Health Conversations in General Practice: Responding with Confidence and Compassion

Receptionists and patient-facing staff are often at the frontline of difficult mental health conversations. They want to help, but they can worry about saying the wrong thing, missing something important or taking on more responsibility than is appropriate.

Our practical Understanding Mental Health in General Practice workshop gives staff a clear way to respond.

They'll learn how to recognise when someone may be struggling, respond with compassion, help patients feel heard, recognise when concerns need escalating, signpost appropriately and maintain healthy boundaries.

Not to become mental health experts.
To feel confident about what they can do.
